In the Bible, Old Testament and New, we are given countless examples of resting. Oh, and there's that little command, "Remember the Sabbath." Keeping a portion of time protected for rest and re-centering is important to the God who created you, and vital to your well-being. This is not something that comes to us naturally, but is a learned and practiced habit. (Seems like most of my Yes posts are about habits.)
Say yes to rest and you create space in your life to breathe. That pile of laundry will still be there tomorrow.
