Ava's Half Birthday Party!

On Christmas Day, three and a half years ago. . . 

We celebrate Ava's birthday in small ways in December (such as trying to stuff her back into that Christmas stocking, you know, for old times' sake), and then have a party for her in the summer.  Last week we finally got the party on the calendar and made it happen.  Just a few little friends up at our family's pond for some cake and swimming.  Ava was a happy girl!  When she saw the cake all finished up, she said, "Oh Mom!  I didn't realize. . .I didn't know!  Oh thank you Mommy, thank you!" Happy Birthday sweetie girl!
